Visiting Marcelino- Losing is not an option!

I took a week to visit and assist the Cordova family since the shocking news of young Marcelino being diagnosed with Leukemia.  I was really pleased with the care he was receiving at his facility and they appear to try to make it as comfortable and safe as possible for the little ones.

Marcelino gets to pick out beads for a necklace. Each bead signifies an accomplishment or task..e.g blood transplant....I had a good day...special visitor...hair growing back...those sorts of things.  This is really a nice way to record the successes through this trying time.
Even through it all..he still manages to have the energy to dance and make us laugh!

Michelle, being the superstar that she is, on top of working, caring for Marcelino, raising a toddler and teenager, she also manages to coach competitive softball team.... Lord only knows how she does it.  Here are the awesome shirts the team had made to support Marcelino's battle.
Baby Giavanna is so mature, walking at 10 months!  She is so adorable.
During the week, we went to Target to get a few things.  We bought Gia one of Aleena's favorite books when she was that age.  Marcelino got to cruise around in a go cart while we shopped.
Michelle and the girls had been so busy. I decided to treat them to pedis.  Here's Angel and her friend getting their toesies done
At the airport saying goodbye to my best friend.  She is an amazing woman. She does so much for others and I wish I could do more during this trying time.  Please pray for my friend and her family!
I love you Michelle!
