For the 4th of July, we decided to cross back over the bay into Corpus Christi. We planned to visit the Aquarium, explore the USS Lexington and watch the fireworks from Corpus Christi Bay. Well because we got off to a late start and we had to incorporate Aleena's nap time, we weren't able to do the Aquarium...but we did do everything else..and we had a blast doing it!

After lunch, we walked to the USS Lexington to give it tour! Oh my was it huge and amazing!
The tour took longer than we expected. Aleena was so pooped that we went to my parents hotel for nap. After nap time, we all got ready for dinner and fire works. We went to Dot's hot dogs which was right across from the USS Lexington to have dinner. They had a fun playscape where Janell and Aleena played for a while and got tattoos.
It was getting dark, so we decided to find a cozy spot in the sand. We were fortunate to land a spot right on the water so we had a perfect view of the fireworks being fired off from the USS Lexington.

This was such a beautiful evening..it is most certainly going to become a tradition.
