Dia de Los Reyes ~ 3 Kings Day

It is a Spanish tradition to celebrate 3 Kings Day. The day after Jesus' birth where the 3 kings visit him in the manger and bring him gifts.

It is my family tradition, that you gather some hay and put it in a box under your bed. The 3 kings (similar to the tooth fairy) come and visit you at night to bring you a gift. You leave the hay under your bed to feed the camels they rode in on and in turn, you have a gift under your bed.

It is a very tradition to symbolize, remember, and celebrate this event.

For Aleena, we decided that the best gift we could give her were my old dolls from when I was a little girl. We had all of them cleaned up from storage and washed. They were all lined up ready to meet their new friend!

Aleena went straight for the twins!

This one reminds me of Aleena..buck tooth and all :)

Kevin and Chrissy, got Aleena this easle for Christmas. She got so many gifts that we saved it for this event. Aleena had a great time helping daddy set up the easle, and then had a blast drawing using her new dry erase marker, chalk, and eraser. Thanks Mattison family!

Abuela got Aleena a new pair of shoes! She loved her princess shoes! Thanks Abuela!
