The dress shopping was easy and Lisa found what she wanted right away! She's very flexible and even changed the color of her bridesmaid dressed on the spot! She is so unlike me..I would have hunted the exact color down, spending hours on end if I had to! But not flexible Lisa.
We had a nice time visiting and shopping for the dresses. We had a nice lunch at Mimi's...which never dissappoints. mmmmm..Corn Chowder!
The next day, we had an open day because we intended to be dress shopping some more. But since we didn't, we took advantage of the free time to catch up.
It was like old times catching up..reminiscing..and talking about wedding plans...all over a nice In-N-Out burger lunch! MMMM...they don't have those in Texas!
Aahh the green hills of Vacaville....there's not much greenery this time of year in Texas...the grass has died and it has changed into a nice sublte brown...LOL. It was really nice to see the crisp healthy green of Cali again.
Next we visited our high school, Vanden....boy how that has changed! They have a scrolling marquis now and have gotten rid of all of the portable classes and have made permanent buildings. The school expands all the way to the softball fields now! It was wierd walking on campus again. It brought back sooo many memories! I was bummed that the cleared out most of the lockers..the one that Matt first wrote that he loved me in....even the cheese fry line is gone!! Really? the cheese fry line! My how times have changed!

Finally, we stopped by Travis AFB. This is the Forbes gate...for those of you that remember..my house was just inside this gate. It's where Matt and I shared our first kiss....where we would crawl under the gate to sneak on base instead of going all the way around to the front. We also confescated the Vanden High School sign and snuck it in under this gate to keep the gaurds from catching us as we entered the front gate....aahhh memories!

But now..all of the houses are gone..demolished! I was so hoping to see my little house...the house that I had so many memories in. Now...it's a paint ball field and obstacle course from what I hear. Boo!!! I want my house back!
