New Moon Release Party!

So....like millions of other people, I was one of the crazed maniacs that stood in line for an hour (at least it wasn't longer) for the release of New Moon. Along with the crying babies, gitty teens and teeny boppers, and parents that were dragged to be there, I was patiently standing in line enjoying the entertainment of people watching. Everyone recounting if they are on Team Jacob or Team Edward...girls having arguments about which one is hotter...too funny.

There were 3 lines, each stretching from the back of the store to the front. Each line designed for the team you represented most...Wolfpack, Cullens, and Volturi... I was surprised that the store did not sell out! I stood in the Wolfpack line (no reason why) .. Finally I was able to see the glimpse of a register about 30 minutes later....taking a small step wishing it was a large stride at this point. When I finally made it to the register, I saw boxes and boxes of movies. Thank goodness I snagged a copy and then I was in complete bliss. I went home at 1:00am content and ready for my pillow. A true addict would have watched the movie as soon as they got home, but I was too pooped. I was also hoping to pick up the Chipmunk 2 movie for Aleena, but that is not released until March 30th. It will be doubtful that I will be in the stores at midnight for that one! LOL

All of this...just for a movie...I have not been so sucked into a movie since Father of the Bride. Funny how a very well written book can cause such a phenomenon to occur. Way to go Stephanie Meyer!

I have my niece, Ashlee, to blame for my recent addiction. She started it all and if you all think I am crazy...blame her :P

It's a good thing you told me to go early, because the lines in CA were crazy! Pretty much just the way you described, people had lawn chairs out, I'm surprised no one camped out! But our DVD also came with stickers that had wolfpack tattoo's, I'm pretty tempted to put them, but is that too overboard LOL - Anyways, I did watch, and fell asleep towards the end so i said I'm watching it again Ha ha, and fell asleep too, even my husband can't remember a release of a movie on DVD being that crazy.

YAY to our addiction!
