Before Santa arrived, we brought out most of the presents for Aleena.
Santa brought Aleena her pink (and purple) car that she's been asking so much about.
Thank goodness she was a good girl this year!
Here's video of her discovering and exploring her gift from Santa
She was so excited!
Time for gifts...this year, Aleena wanted to explore each of her gifts, so it took hours to get through them all.
Here is just a brief snap shot of a few.
Stocking stuffers
Before we got started on the smaller gifts, daddy wanted Aleena to see his very special gift that he has been working on diligently for the past few weeks. Her very own tea party table.
Aleena loves setting up for tea parties. Matt made the table and chair set from scratch - no premades here!
The table only has a coat of primer since we've had rain recently and he could not get the final coat on in time.
Aleena didn't care, she absolutely LOVED her table from daddy and put it to use right away!
Our traditional cinnamon rolls on Christmas morning.
Aleena the chef decided she wanted to make them this time.
Back to her tea set..notice monkey already partaking in the tea party :)
Ok back to opening presents
Sock monkey from grandma.. it's her new favorite monkey!
Meeko got a gift too.. a brand new scratching post.
Aleena showing wella her new ride.
Daddy opening his gift from Aleena
Thanks Uncle Jorgie!
Roller skates from wella and the Mattison's
Mom loved her Miche Purse!
Aleena's new camera
Thanks Natalia...I love my princess tent!
Time for turkey!
I love my turkey roaster! It cooks the turkey w/ minimal effort, really fast, and keeps it moist and juicy!
Setting up for dinner
After dinner, we enjoyed a nice fire..or should I say Meeko did :)
Aleena got a big girl bike from wella! She is already a pro!
Poor girl was pooped from her long day. She passed out as soon as we laid her down!
It was an amazing Christmas. We are blessed to be able to have family here with us this year.
We know it can't be this way every year, but we are thankful that we have family to enjoy this time of year with!
