I wrote if off that she was getting tired as it was near her bed time. Her ankle was not swollen, she was able to wiggle her toes and we were able to rotate her ankle..alls well. The next morning, I get ready for work, I get Aleena down on the floor and she would not walk to me. I picked her up, gave her a kiss and rushed out the door to work. Daddy later calls me and says that she is crawling on her hands and knees. :( My poor baby!
Ironically, James wasn't feeling too well either, with pain in his ears, so Matt took them both to an urgent care clinic where they can been right away. Aleena LOVED the room that they were put in. Matt says that she commented to the art work on the wall and said "Woah, that's a big job." .....In seeing the pictures I would agree...You decide....
The doctor had to confirm no fracture..she had to get xrays taken. Matt said he had to hold her down and she was not a happy camper, but the xrays was done. Thankfully no fracture. She was diagnosed with a mild sprain to her right ankle.
Afterwards the nurses and doctor rewarded Aleena with a bracelet and a Dora The Explorer sticker. Apparently Dora was the magic word, because as soon as she heard Dora sticker, she reportedly stood up and darted over to the dr with no problem or complaint of pain.
Now, she is either a fast healer or Dora has magic powers. In any case, Matt said that she was fine the rest of the day and was walking around on her foot no problem.
When I got home, I wanted to take Aleena for a walk in my new running stroller. We put on her flip flops, the ones she got injured in and IMMEDIATELY began limping and was crying with full on tears! I told her to get in the stroller and stop crying or she had to stay inside and not play outside. She immediately ran to me to go for our walk! Big faker! If I could award an Emmy she would have gotten one right there on the spot.
So $140 later + radiation exposure to confirm that our daughter is a great actress...oh boy...what do we have in store for us....Does anyone know any good child acting agencies?
