Aleena must have had nightmares of her potty last night because this morning, she wanted absolutely nothing to do with it. She was so against going to the potty that she actually rebelled and purposely (in my opinion) tinkled on the floor. After several more attempts and still refusing to use the potty, my patience was wearing thin and I was really not happy with the direction of her training. I felt that we overcame many hurdles yesterday that I didn't understand the change.
After a few cleanups, I decided that it was time for Aleena to help with the clean up. She didn't like that so much. After the last clean up, I realized she didn't care if she wet her panties..so we went full comando...bare bottoms. I thought that she may be using her panties as a barrier between her and the floor like her diaper...sure enough that was the trigger!
I saw her doing the "hop". She quickly ran to the potty without a command from me and EUREKA! She did it!! All by herself!! I was so excited I was jumping up for joy! She said "no pee pee on the floor mommy" That's right baby! I taught her well. We did the honorary stickers on her chart and Potty Dance. Then she received a yummy mini-twix from daddy! She loves tatoo's so she also got to pick out a tatoo for going all by herself!
Later on that night, she started to "hop" again and asked for a diaper. I told her to go to the potty and off she went! Easy as that! This time, she asked for NERDS!
I was so pleased! Let's see what tomorrow will bring. We actually have to leave the house tomorrow for a dr's appt...fingers crossed. I'll be sure to pack extra clothes :)
